Postgraduate Degree Level

Criteria

If you have a postgraduate degree level qualification or the equivalent level qualification (level 7 on the education framework), you may apply for a grant or gift if you fulfil the following criteria:

You may also be eligible through your spouse/partner if they fulfil the below criteria

Are aged over 18 years
Are resident in the UK
Have already applied to your own occupational benevolent fund for assistance (if applicable) and be able to demonstrate evidence of this
Have less than £6,000 in savings if you are under pension credit age and less than £10,000 if over pension credit age
Have claimed, or are in the process of claiming, all benefits to which you are entitled

How we help:

Although our grants are often quite small, they frequently make a substantial difference to the person involved. PAG is able to help in a number of ways, for example by giving:

a one-off monetary gift to assist with living expenses
a contribution towards essential household furniture including white goods
help to buy essential clothing
assistance towards the cost of essential repairs to the home that relate to safety, security and/or independent living in your home
a contribution towards care home fees in partnership with other charities

We do not help with:

Unfortunately we are unable to help with the following;

private medical fees, including prescription charges
vet bills or pet insurance
clearing debts, including mortgage repayments and/or utility bills
bankruptcy fees
purchase of cars or other vehicles
funeral costs
setting up your own business
respite breaks
